Many dental software programs lock the patient screen when you are working in it and you can't access any other portion of the program without closing the screen. If you are creating a patient record and someone needs a new appointment, you have to save a partial record, abandon all changes, or make the person wait until you are finished.
A great feature of DentiMax is being able to have a patient record open, bookmark it, move directly to the Scheduler to set up the appointment, and then return to the patient screen and continue where you left off. Click the Bookmark this window link at the bottom of the Options bar.
You can also use bookmarks to keep open and available screens to which you often refer.
This creates a shortcut link at the bottom of the screen.

For example, if you open the Scheduler and discover you need to look something up in a particular patient record, bookmark the Scheduler and open the patient record. When you get the information you needed, click the Scheduler link to return to that screen immediately.
When you are looking at a screen that has been bookmarked, a different option is available at the bottom of the Options bar: Clear this bookmark.

Bookmarks are cleared when the program is closed. They are also cleared when you close a screen by clicking Close this screen, by clicking the Close icon in the screen title bar, or by clicking Clear this bookmark in the Options bar..

If you are working in a screen with unsaved data and move to a different screen, the program alerts you to the fact that there is unsaved data. One of the options here to is bookmark the screen.

Click the option you want: Save the data and close the screen; discard the unsaved data and close the screen; bookmark the screen so you can return later; or return immediately to the screen.
