Using PSR Exams

PSR stands for Periodontal Screening & Recording. These exams are usually prepared by the dentist for his or her records and are not submitted to insurance companies.

 

To work with PSR Exams, go to the Activities menu and click PSR Exams.

The mouth is divided into six sections. Enter the average probing depth for each section here.

 

To create a new PSR exam, click New PSR.

 

Select the patient.

 

Pressing Tab moves you to the Date field (which defaults to the current date) and then to the first Sextant. Enter a digit, *, or X based on the explanations shown below the sextant fields, then press Tab to move to the next area.

 

When finished, click Save Changes.

 

These exams can be viewed from various places within the program.
